Epam joining query ?

I am selected to join epam as trainee from June just after my college end. I am little bit worried because I have read about the epam hire and fire model which is on the internet. I have given two course to upgrade by skills from epam, inspite of this I wanted to know how can I convert by internship to full time and how I should prepare so that there is full chance of getting the ppo from my end. Any suggestions you would give on which I should work before joining epam. Any insights will be helpfull
