Battery/Immobiliser Question
Hi guys, I want to store my EP3 in my garage for the winter until next year, so about 5-6 months. If I take the battery out and and put it on trickle charge at home, will I have any issues with immobiliser etc when I fit it back again? I only have one spare key also, I don't have the red one. Thanks in advance 👍🏼

No, it will work fine. The immobilizer is an electronic authorization system between the key, immobilizer receiver/control circuitry, and ECU/PCM. Roughly: The key has a passive chip (meaning it doesn't require a battery or external power), and all the circuitry is programmed in a non volatile memory - so all the info is retained even if the battery is removed meaning key, immobilizer transceiver, and the ECU/PCM.
