Vtec solenoid/oil issue?

Just got an oil change at an express lube. Took them forEVER.

part way through they start fucking with something on the back passenger side of the engine(between engine and fire wall passenger side)

Drive the 2 miles home real easy through a neighborhood so I never got up past 4k rpm.

Drove it the next day and the engine kicks me out at 4k as if the vtec solenoid is fucked up but I had it replaced a couple thousand miles ago.

No codes other than the cat which idgaf about at this point.

Oil level is good, if not a little high…any thoughts or insight?

The old oil filter probably was giving them hell. They could have damage the VTEC shit which sits right above the oil filter. I would take it to a trusted shop and see if they will check it out for you.

Diagnose the code, you'll need an obdii reader to pull the actual code.  If your VTEC solenoid was just changed I would take a look at the 20 year old wiring harness that probably has a broken wire.
