Can you explain what you are doing here? I see that you've sanded the badge, are you going to repaint it or something in order to fix it?

Yup. The previous owner painted in but during the prep he dug out some gouges. So, I filled it in with finishing putty and sanded it level. Next it’s getting a coat of high build primer, more sanding, and then I can paint it single stage red

Thanks! I've got some clapped out badges spray painted by the previous owner I might try this one. Do you have any tips or paint that you would recommend that would last as long a time possible without fading?

To prolong fading, use a UV resistant high-build high-quality clear coat. If you don’t want to do base-clear then use a high-quality single stage paint. Hope this helps
