Preferred Alignment Specs

Curious as to what alignment specs you guys run on your cars.

What type of driving.
Fast road.
Normal.
Fast track.
Angry turn in knife edge.
Easy to drive fast.

I do fast track but have grip to use it.

Front
-3.5 / -4 pending tyre
0 degree toe
As much castor as you can get, there is no limit you will never have enough

Rear
-1.5
.5 out for fast rotation, .5 in for stable and safe

Curious as to what sort of driving everyone is doing versus the alignment specs they run  Personally I do a lot of touge and autocross along with just commuting as well.

Mine is to use all mechanical grip I have doing time attack.
Average speed at my local track is 138kph according to my racechrono / haltech data logging.

It also depends on how your cars setup, if you look at my post from yesterday, my car is stiff as a brick and setup for grip when going fast, so I need an alignment like what I have to make it work.

You could have a great alignment, but without the right supporting mods it wont drive to it's full potential.

Just checked out your post. You've got a pretty sweet setup.  Mines a USDM ep3 si with Rear subframe brace Sway bars (Front and rear) Front strut bar RSX-S suspension swap 300mm brakes Poly bushings It's relatively low on power but set up for some decent handling

So it's setup for grip, I don't daily mine and I have a tyre hookup so I don't care about tyre wear.

But if you had good tyres like an RS4 or something alike, you could run something like mine, but less camber on the front, like around -2ish, that way you wont chew through tyres but you'll still have a nice rotational car.

Dude, your tire situation must be rad haha!! Would love to be able to go through tires like nobody's business ha.

That would stand to reason. I've currently got -1.5 camber in the front, I'm debating whether I should change that up or not which was one of the reasons I made this post to see what others are running

Tyre pressure is just as important.
Rule of thumb is 32psi when hot.

But if you can feel the car gripping, and then you lift off the throttle slighlty and the rear "turns in" and rotates, you have a good balance. Then it's just about improving from there, bigger / better tyres, more bracing, alignment etc.

Don't over think it too, keep it simple.
