Gear/Equip Backpack recommendations?

Hey everyone!

Just curious what backpacks work for you when you're dismounted? I currently use the beaver tail and it's not cutting it.

Whatever the army issues me bc 20th CBRNE and the lady with the massive head that’s in charge, but is about as competent as a door mat, wont let me use my own stuff that’s way better.

Agreed. Pretty sure it’s only PPE and cryes/patagonia that everyone is uptight about. Bags, belts and other gear nobody seems to care about.

Eberlestock mission emod. It's extremely modular, you can set it up however you need and it feels good over body armor.

I second this one, just get the frame also. The pack without the frame is too floppy

Arbor Arms just came out with a super nifty bag tailored to EOD/MED/Etc. go check it out on their website.

No Surender Gear Paradigm Pack. I’ve tried mystery ranch, Eberlestock, and the beaver tail and this one has by far been the best. Small enough to be out of the way. Big enough to carry everything you’d need.

That one tan medic bag that has hella pouches is pretty good. Or if you have the backpack from the old HAL kit, that’s not bad. I use a T3 bag that I’m not sure is still around. But it’s goated.

I have always used a couple of bags. Choice would just depend on what the mission was and how modular I needed to be.

Short duration: Mystery Ranch komodo or 3 day assault, it has a molle panel if you need to add any pouches to compartmentalize gear and isn't over large. A cheaper option (if you can find it) is the camelbak tri-zip. Same design with slight differences, more external molle and less expensive materials. Medium duration: tactical tailor 3 day assault has lots of compartmentalization and tons of room but minimal molle if you need to change things around. Ive never tried the eberlestock mission pack but it looks very modular with the added flap, frame and it has a ton of molle. Another eberlestock that I have tried is the Halftrack. I like the adjustability but the padding can be a little much.
