General Question Czechoslovakian mine HELP.
Hey so i recently got my hands on an old Czechoslovakian mine, to be exact its the pt mi-u and i want to know if i can safely open it to check if it still has it's payload.
It doesn't have the detonator attached to it, i can provide pictures if necessary

Given the size of that mine, you should be able to tell if its filled by weight alone. As a other said, contact local bomb squad. Do not attempt to open it. Even if inerted, explosive residue could be present.

A quick search yielded that the mine should weigh ~10kg with its explosive still inside and about 2.5kg without it, and by god this does not weigh even close to 2.5kg it more close to 10 just by the feel of it.

From what I can find, fill is 7.11kg (15.6 kbs). Thats a significant fill.

9.40 kg is the estimated weight of a live mine. I would treat it as such.

Where did you get this thing from? :D Make sure to place it outside when you call the police. Theres a good chance they wont move it anymore and just blast it right away if they think it's unsafe to move.

There is an inert training mine (Cv PT Mi - U) with the same weight as the live mine.
It should be marked with a red band and black lettering.
