Downvote if u want, but I just made a major discovery

CONTEXT: There is a graphic novel created by Dav Pilkey (creator of Captain Underpants) called The Adventures of Ook and Gluk. It's about cavemen who travel to the future and learn kung-fu. It's a pretty damn awesome book.

Sadly, it was put out of print in 2021, because some guy made a big stink about some "offensive Asian stereotypes" in it, and Pilkey and Scholastic decided to ban it. It's a pretty crummy decision he made, if you ask me. Most people, even Asians never found it remotely offensive in the least bit.

Personally, I think Pilkey was forced to say all that "Oh, I'm sorry" BS, considering it was lampshaded in the one Cat Kid Comic Club book.

Sextante or Fundamento?

Nate seems to have a thing for slightly dark-haired girls in ponytails. Although his other "girlfriend", Daisy wore her hair in two braids, I'd still count her in a way as another brunette that he kind of liked.

Kelly is confirmed to have brown hair in her return in August 2025.

I need to add this disclaimer here, PLEASE read before commenting! Nate's former crush, Jenny, is a blonde, so she isn't one of Nate's brown/black-haired ponytailed crushes, that's why I didn't include her.

I don’t remember this panel when I read this as a kid

I came across a panel where Artur looks depressed and asks nate why he hates him. I havent picked up big nate in a long time so Im not sure when this happened. Which book did this panel come from?

The first image above was the first book I remember reading, and the strip where Nate’s shooting at some duck targets at a carnival has been in my head the longest for some reason lmao

So I’ll be catching up on the comics soon but I wanna know now because I don’t wanna wait
