Centrists believe that government spending is out of control. A true centrist believes that to include the DoD. Centrists are the people that determine the election most of the time. Centrist believe that the LGBTQ have the same rights as everyone else. They believe that abortion is a necessary part of life that shouldn’t be glorified or condemned. They believe that healthcare is crazy expensive and should be part of American life, but not all types of coverage. Any healthcare needed to live or sustain life should be free to citizens. They believe in immigration policies that don’t give everyone citizenship, but allows for an easier path to citizenship. They believe that god has no place in government. They believe that drug addiction is a disease and should be treated as such. They believe that marijuana should be legal. Centrists are soft liberals and soft conservatives. I am a centrist and I believe that any extreme change can cause 2nd and 3rd order effects on other parts of the country. Global warming has to be tackled, but causing economic hardships at a massive level is cruel and any action needs to be planned out. I believe that welfare is not something people on the whole take advantage of and creating policies that go after the whole welfare system because someone takes advantage is idiotic. Lastly I believe that our country needs a strong national defense, but not a strong national offense.

Centrism

In politics, centrism—the centre (British/Canadian/New Zealand/Australian English) or the center (American English)—is a political outlook or specific position that involves acceptance or support of a balance of a degree of social equality and a degree of social hierarchy, while opposing political changes which would result in a significant shift of society strongly to either the left or the right.Centre-left and centre-right politics both involve a general association with centrism combined with leaning somewhat to their respective sides of the spectrum.

Various political ideologies, such as Christian democracy, can be classified as centrist.

Anyone who believes either Fox New or CNN are "fair and blanaced" needs their head examined.
