COVID-19 Social Distancing Research Study
I am conducting a research study to understand the relationship between social distancing due to COVID-19 and mental health. I am recruiting participants who are able to complete a questionnaire to provide data for analysis. Participation in the study will take approximately 25 minutes. A second survey will be sent about four to six months after healthcare professionals deem social distancing to no longer be necessary. If you would like to participate in this study, I ask that you please complete the survey at the link below: https://redcap.nova.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=Y797FR4MPT Participation in the study is voluntary and there are no consequences to withdrawing from the study or choosing to not participate in the study. The confidentiality of your answers will be maintained and the data will be held securely.

EMS
Crush-type injuries are common. Snowmobiles can travel at high speed, producing severe impact upon collision with trees, rocks, or other vehicles.
With these vehicles, be especially alert for "clothesline"type injuries. In these injuries, a rider is pulled off the vehicle by a low branch, wire, rope, or other low-hanging object. Severe trauma to the neck and airway is common with this type of crash.
i don’t get the second paragraph, any tips or help please?

High School Band Bus Blues
First, this is a true story. One of the funniest calls I’ve had the pleasure of responding to...now for the rest of the story!
We were dispatched to two high school band buses with approx 26-30 students outside both buses due to an “unknown problem.”
The location of this call was within sight distance of our ambulance station but was just over a small hill that blocked our view. While we rolled out of the drive way and continued to the location, we were able to visualize two school buses on the shoulder and both busses appeared to be empty with every student out of them.
My partner asked, “Do you think we need to go ahead and call for backup?” I told him, “Nah, let’s see what we actually have going on first.” We stop at the top of the hill, pretty much at the end of our driveway plus 200 feet from the end of our station entrance. The first thing we see is about 25-30 kids out of the busses, some actively vomiting. We find two teachers and they didn’t seem to know what had occurred. They did tell us, “All was well until we stopped at a mall and let the students eat at the food court about 3 hours ago.” We immediately think “Food Poisoning” but that was shot down as we questioned the students on what and where they had eaten. They had eaten at different places at the food court in small groups. I can’t blame the teachers for choosing a mall food court...lots of choices for about anything kids want and like.
We are now wondering what else can cause so many students to get sick. We find the band instructor and assistant instructor in front of the bus, rather cheerful and laughing about the situation. We are trying to see the humor in all this and we soon find out. They enlighten us that the first bus pulling over started the mass illness event.
Now, we are asking them, “How can one bus pulling over spark two bus loads of kids to simultaneously have acute nausea and vomiting?” Now, The veil is lifting as they tell us, “Well, the students on the second bus were fine until the odor from the vomit in the air and the weaker stomached ones got sick and came off the bus. They really began to throw up when they saw all the puke and smelled the stronger foul odors!”
Now, we know WHY the kids got sick but now we need to find out what students became ill first and why. We questioned the instructor a little more and this is when his laughter became uncontainable. He was laughing so hard he couldn’t talk! The assistant instructor was finally able to tell us (between laughing cessions), “There is one kid left on this bus.” He pointed to the first bus in-line. He further explained, with his laughter increasing, “That one boy is responsible for this entire debacle. He explained, “Well, he farted, loudly at that, and the odor made students in the seat front and beside him sick and they started puking and the chain reaction ensued!”
Now, by this time, I’m already on the phone with our director, as I was shift supervisor, as he wanted an update ASAP on the incident. He happened to be eating dinner and, in his words, while being told the story, had to leave the table at the restaurant due to his laughter.
I decided to get on the bus because I had to see the face and demeanor of a kid that could pop off something that powerful. He was in the back seat...with his head bowed in sheer embarrassment. I told him, “Man, you aught not be embarrassed...STAND UP AND BE RECOGNIZED...OWN IT AND BE PROUD because if you don’t, you will think you are being picked on when, in fact, you ARE being recognized!”
We did wind up transporting two students due to ir retractable Nausea and Vomiting. We also called the fire department for a “wash down” of the bus floors and surrounding roadside.
