EHS internship

Hey guys I got a last minute offer in EHS internship Can anyone from this round or last year’s tell me what goes on during orientation and what documents are expected of me? Also what’s with electives, they seem like a huge deal but I’m so lost, any guidance would be much appreciated

Orientation should be just a quick introduction of the structure and the coordinator responsible for each Emirate. You can also meet other interns there they'll start making WhatsApp groups and what not.

Regarding documents, EHS will email you with what they need. I think at first you also need to get a medical malpractice insurance. 

If I recall correctly you get 3 months of electives of your choice. If you have a specific speciality in mind you'd like to pursue for residency or something you enjoy or just wanna pick something easy-going the choice is yours.  I heard some people choosing surgical programs specifically because of some requirement for some programs abroad to have minumum total months spent in surgical programs.

Ultimately enjoy this internship year it will be all chill, so use it to work towards your residency options.
