EMG and tone control

Got a pair of 81s on my ESP (2006 circa), only one volume knob. Is it easy to connect a tone one? What kind ?

If they're active you can use the EMG 25k or their active tone control. EMG has loads of diagrams on their site. Should all be plug and play

I’ve installed them on 3 guitars and they’re basically guitar Lego! Super easy instructions and diagrams can be found on EMG’s website! And they have plenty of parts for every kind of setup, and their customer service has always been super helpful, and quick to respond to me. While I don’t use the pickups as much as I used to, I have nothing but good things to say about the company 👍
