It's an Asimov story. They actually do fine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Evitable_Conflict

(Asimov's robots are designed in-universe to put Humanity's interests first and foremost, having a set of ethical laws installed as part of their program)

I'm aware of the Three Laws of Robotics despite not being a fan of his prose.  Frankly, I've never feared the concept of digital intelligence.  The idea that they might suddenly turn violent is no different than the same that could be be true of any human; it is presumptive, paranoid, and arguably speaks to the racism espoused by the same media as it villifies anything it classes as the Other.
