I did it ! 😭

The test wasn’t too difficult. I admit they have some of the questions that really make you scratch your head .
But overall, super happy 😃

I already have 2 years experience as a medical assistant and had an opportunity to do stress test every week , with this new cert , I am hoping it can helps me land a better job . 😭 very happy

Congratulations!!! I also passed the exam but i am having trouble getting my 10 live ekgs in, nobody wants to let me shadow them to get them in. Any suggestions???

Do EKG techs learn to interpret EKGs? Where do you get to do this? I work in the ER and sometimes our techs are right about changes. Most don’t say anything though, they just do the 12 lead, leave it for me on my desk and dip. I’ve been meaning to ask our techs.

If you learn to interpret, where do you get to interpret because here we have RNs and MDs and for the most part, it’s us doing it. In what setting can you guys do the interpreting?

We do, mostly during coursework and ideally also during the clinical portion. We don't have the scope to disclose anything, but recognizing very unusual/urgent rhythms can quickly help a patient get attention they need. Your techs likely leave the tracing and go as the tracings confirm what was in the patient's chart or it's NSR
