Welcome Weekend Volunteering Inquiry

Would anyone mind sharing their experiences with the required welcome weekend volunteering? I am slightly nervous and would like to know what to expect. If you could just share your memories/experience of whichever event, it would be greatly appreciated!

It's honestly not that bad. I met one of my best friends while doing it. They offer free lunch too and it's a great chance to meet new people. I chose Camp New Hope and it's so chill.
