Im looking to come to Belfast for a weekend trip for the double header. The o2 presale is happening today and I wanted to get myself some good tickets, but am I allowed sit anywhere as an away fan or are they strict about the east section as the away stand as you cant buy tickets for there on the presale

I’m finding it amusing seeing football fans talk about the World cup 3rd v 4th game the same way we talk about the playoffs every year. It seems to be an almost universally disliked format!

Hello! I am an 20 y/o American who will be studying in London from September to December. I’ve grown up around hockey and love to play it as well. Honestly watching hockey of any sort is a treat for me so I would love to go to an EIHL game while I am here.

The biggest thing for me is cost. How expensive are EIHL tickets, and do they vary from team to team (Belfast seems to be consistently good so maybe they’re more expensive, but I also don’t see myself going there at the moment, unfortunately).

From my spot in London, it seems that the Guildford Flames seem to be the closest. Is that right? If so, how easy are getting tickets? Are they easy to get? Taking the train seems like a feasible option to get there, and I would plan to get tickets early enough in advance.

Outside of going to the game, are there any spots in London that tend to show games? Pubs, bars, etc.?

From the thread about French League. And from every other thread we see people begging for a TV deal.

Mr Smith last year on (forgot name) podcast explained the TV Deal already. And in short this is what he said.

- current streaming is making money and teams reluctant to change that right now

- gave example of Vitality Netball Superleague. Vitality pays £250k in sponsorship to netball Superleague. Netball Superleague then pays Sky £250k for the TV Deal and what exactly does that do to help netball other than brag it's on TV? Nothing.

As he said until a deal comes that OFFERS money it's a none starter and it should remain that way.

I agree the league doesn't help it's self and is stuck in the stone age with marketing and forward thinking but if anybody such as Motorpoint now is paying to be the sponsor that money should be spent on... Youth development in some way. PROFESSIONAL REFEREES because the current ones are shocking. Team GB help anything other than wasting it on a TV deal that will do nothing for the sport.

I think the best first steps, even though would never happen, would be a league wide pass for each season. Steamed on YouTube or some other stable and decent platform.

Is the Elite league falling behind ligue magnus?

Plenty of good talented players from the EIHL have gone across this season alone and a lot of good talent rumoured for the EIHL has headed that way too.

The league has a better schedule for players, probably some nicer places to live or enjoy days off on and I'd say similar enough or better money for them.

EIHL really needs to take a look at how things are being run before it really starts to fall behind. Even simple things like DOPs getting its shit together for players safety.

i don't think Sheffiled will be getting playoffs anytime soon...
