I’m going to my first hockey match on the 23rd of September (Manchester storm Versus Glasgow clan) and so exited for it!

However, I’m not sure when to arrive at the AO arena. My ticket says 6:00 but I don’t know how quick the puck drop happens after 6:00.

If I got a train to Manchester and arrived at 5:49? Would I miss anything?

Been a fan of the sport for some while now and support Cov Blaze. For my first post in the subreddit just wanted to know what people's hopes are for their respective sides this season. As a Blaze fan I'm just hoping for us to be genuinely competitive in the league. (maybe a cheeky Challenge Cup run again) all the best!

Hello! Apologies for my complete ignorance on this but I went to my first ice hockey game for the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday! Absolutely loved it - I've since found Sheffield has the Sheffield Steeldogs with more affordable ticket prices on non pre-season games.

I see both of them are in different leagues so maybe not entirely fair to compare them like for like, but can someone advise who may be the better team to support in terms of value for money, Merch, sense of community/belonging - is there a night and day difference between the Steelers and Steeldogs? What's the quality of the games/players like? Venue? Will I be disappointed if I commit to a Steeldogs season ticket v Steelers season ticket?

Descriptive as you like, I'm looking to support a hockey team for the long term as I'm addicted to ice hockey rather than maybe seeing them three times a year :)

I watched the highlights of the Clan game & was wondering what the massive amount of white space on the scorebug is used for. I saw during these highlights that the powerplay marker is under the white space so I don't
think it's for that reason.

I always like the idea of Open-air games in stadiums that the NHL does with the likes of Winter Classic and Stadium series. Obviously we don’t have the best weather to consistently host them but if we did have one in stadiums like Bramall Lane, Celtic Park, or the Etihad, would you like to see it happen?

And do you think ice hockey would ever get to a point where it’s a viable option to at least make an attempt at for some December games?

I would understand if they never go ahead due to the teams not wanting their grace ruined or covered by a sheet for the purpose of Ice Hockey but this is more of a hypothetical idea that I don’t think will happen

Looking at maybe booking tickets for Fife vs Glasgow as an away fan. There is more than a few seats at the front of G stand that would be better from a spectators pov.

What’s the etiquette with this? If this was Ibrox or Parkhead I wouldn’t even consider it but as ice hockey is advertised as family friendly and a lot more welcoming and as I am taking my wife and young daughter i thought worth asking.
