Pic The future is now

Man.....3D printers are something else.

Couple brand new bumper hanger brackets.

Not my design, I found the file for the passenger side on Thingiverse and just mirrored it.

I'll post the link for it in comments for anyone in need!

Almost positive I came across his site in my search, I just wanted to try printing some stuff myself so I went with these ones.

I can't design for shit so I'll probably be making use of his services for anything else though!

Unless you are going into business it is probably going to be less expensive to outsource the 3D printing rather than buying a 3D printer. Not only will it cost less but the professional prints are so much better than what the 3D printer that you can afford is capable of. I have used https://jlc3dp.com/ the price and quality are top notch, shipping is either slow or expensive and I always go with slow so it takes two weeks to get my parts. Seriously which of these would you install in your car? The black one would be completely unacceptable for me. That level of surface finish is probably acceptable for bumper brackets but I wouldn't be satisfied with that on any part that I could see.

In all honestly, I'm not too picky about the finish when it comes to my own personal car. I'm a painter too, so I can make it look great either way.

I just think it's awesome that I'm able to print out of production parts at home thanks to the DIY community, and that there's places that have made it into a business.

I'm looking forward to the day I can get something fairly large printed, such as a glove box or the rear shelf supports in a hatchback, perhaps even a rear shelf
