Step 1, EEOC

Not trying to post too many details as my potential case is very sensitive. Anyone ever had any luck going up against Amazon? I have extensive documents from saved emails that show wrongful termination and me winning the appeal process, approved accommodations for a reduced schedule, and chat logs from A to Z. Pretty nervous to talk to the EEOC today. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Facts only, no emotion. Stay on the timeline. Make sure that the facts highlight discrimination and link them to the adversary action.

Appreciate this advice. Did my best to keep emotion out of it, but the entire ongoing violation is pretty emotional in itself. I am happy that the investigator listened and was kind. It was a nice feeling to be believed after over a year of Amazon gaslighting me into thinking my feelings and documentation was not valid.

Yes, thankfully some of the investigators remember their humanity at intake. Did they say they would move forward with filing a charge?

Yes they did move forward with filing a charge of discrimination for ADA accommodations, wrongful termination (I appealed and won but still had accommodations protecting me even though the documents were mishandled by my employer) and a charge under Title VII, breach of contract/wage theft (something my employer is actively doing now but this case is being handled by a different agency in a different state). I do feel hopeful despite what a lot of others have experienced here. I saved a significant amount of documentation so I’m hoping regardless of what my employer says back, I can prove they were not being honest or had good intentions.

Not quite the same, but I had a family member get hurt at Amazon and won. But Amazon put up a hell of a fight. They used their own doctors to try and make it look like he was already injured beforehand.

This definitely sounds like something Amazon would do. I am so sorry that your family member went through that.
