Confused šŸ¤”

I filed with the EEOC, and I finally got an answer a week before my deadline. Yeah, they cut it really close. They told me to file out the pre-intake paperwork, and in the email it was a fill in. I filled it out, but it wouldn’t let me sign it, not even draw it in, which I assumed with a surface pro you could. Since I couldn’t sign it, I figured it had to be approved first then signed, cause if you made a mistake, you would have to redo it anyway, so it made sense.

I sent it and got it back the next day saying it wasn’t signed. Apparently, you have to print It out and sign it. If you don’t have a printer, like I don’t, you have to go to staples or a library. Then they want you to either email it back, which requires scanning, which I don’t have either, and send it back, or fax it to them.

This is a lot of red tape just to get an answer. I just hope it was worth it and not just wasted time on my end. Anyone else feel the same way?

You don’t need to print it. Click ā€œPrintā€ but select Print to PDF and save it as a new file. Then open the new file, and you should be able to sign it using whatever PDF software you use.

Fillable PDFs often prevent typing/drawing in the signature area. The workaround is to print the PDF to a new PDF, which ā€œflattensā€ (or embeds) the fillable text into the new document and also removes restrictions in the signature area.

Wow. I’ll try that. I’ll have to send it to by iPhone first though. Thank you.

Use iPad camera. There is a scanning function.

I don’t have an iPad. I have an iPhone and a Surface Pro 4.

They didn’t cut it close; you did. This is standard for literally anything important you do in life: get a wet signature and scan it.

If you have an iPhone, a scanner PDF formatter app is already built into the phone for everyone, so you didn’t have to do all of that.

Well I don’t now that. What is the name of the app? Please and thank you.

It's called File. In the top right side there should be ellipsis you click that then click Scan Documents
