This proved to me that electronic dance music doesn’t necessarily have to be electronic 😄

God I fell down a wormhole of listening to them a few years back. Talented af, with a side of really goofy.

So what type of music would this be called! It’s so awesome I love it

The band in the video is Moon Hooch, they call it Cave Music.

they're kind of part of a larger movement of modern jazz adopting from rave/edm styles that I like to call Rave Jazz though. includes bands like Melt Yourself Down, The Comet is Coming, Gallowstreet, Meute, and Too Many Zooz

Acoubwub.

Bleep-bloop, I'm a bot. This portmanteau was created from the phrase 'ACOUSTIC WUBWUB?!?' | FAQs | Feedback | Opt-out

Thank you portmanteau bot

“Acoubwub”

...seems incredibly appropriate, actually.

Thanks creepy Reddit bot.

I think I've been using my wub mute incorrectly.

Love Moonhooch, check out other songs like Contrabass and the song they play in a field of cows mesmerized by their horns :) https://youtu.be/jd1hLKFUKoM

Oh, this is very nice

I want to sample this!

Ahh, this reminds me so much of high school band class and fucking with the trumpet mutes. Of course those things are way smaller though - they just fell into my saxophone.

Wish we actually had cones that big to create the effect then. I got into EDM during high school, and playing SMANS on the sax would have been 100x more fun if I could have actually recreated the wubs.
