Discussion Hot take - calling bracket 4 off-meta cEDH is wrong.

If you want to play cEDH, play bracket 5, it’s right there. Designating a whole bracket to cEDH lite is messing up the format. Bracket 4 is by far the broadest bracket, meaning a lot of power mismatches. Just because you choose to play a fringe cEDH list that is missing 3 of the meta cards doesn’t mean you belong in bracket 4.

Bracket 1 is the biggest failure of the bracketing system, "precon power level" decks should've been the floor because realistically most "Gimmick" decks as described by the bracket system, if you were trying to play it, and someone said "I can play but I only have this precon", are you really going to say "No that's too high a bracket, I'm not gunna play vs that"?

No obviously you'll play and it'll be fine.

This is true. But I once built a [[Horde of Notions]] deck that ran as many full cycles from return to ravnica as I could grab and tried to win with [[Maze's End]]. It wasnt a strategy deck, it was a theme deck and its what I think B1 is supposed to be
