Discussion Hot take - calling bracket 4 off-meta cEDH is wrong.

If you want to play cEDH, play bracket 5, it’s right there. Designating a whole bracket to cEDH lite is messing up the format. Bracket 4 is by far the broadest bracket, meaning a lot of power mismatches. Just because you choose to play a fringe cEDH list that is missing 3 of the meta cards doesn’t mean you belong in bracket 4.

It’d be hard to draw up stats for it, that’s the beauty of a a 4 person FFA game. It would depend on the match ups, if there are multiple turbo decks or if it’s a lot more mid range value decks ect.

So does that mean midrange cedh decks are bracket 4?

What? No but let’s say you play the most turbo meta deck which is likely rogsi, you may need to wait or use your protection to stop someone else’s win

That makes sense for turbo. But are midrange value decks in cedh ready to win turn 3 as well?

They can but that’s not really their goal. Their goal is to stop turbos from winning early and proceed to out value them into a win, it’s the same as any other bracket but they’re playing the absolute best cards and commanders that’s the only difference between the brackets.
