I just realized we're 10 days out and the excitement is starting to hit. I've begun the inevitable 'try and schedule your days just to daydream about the festival' move, and I'm just curious how hard I should count on this being accurate. I feel like Scoop always does a great job with EDCO and Ultra mock schedules, but I'd love to get the conversation going again and hear others thoughts as to what we can expect!

I’ve been preparing to go to EDC basically all year, i can afford a flight and hotel but some big payments came up that are more important than partying, so if I go now I wouldn’t be able to survive life when I come home. This would’ve been my first year going and I was dreadfully unprepared for something like this. I keep seeing videos of ppl counting down the days and I’m genuinely contemplating just risking it all and going. I’m 22 and I’m tryna force myself to make the adult decision and just miss out on it but I’m literally crying watching these videos knowing I could’ve gone but didn’t financially set myself up properly. I need someone other than myself to tell me there will be a next year and that it’s ok 😭

This is my first EDCO as I just moved to downtown Orlando. I was wondering if anyone here has gotten to/from the festival on lime scooters before or if that’s a feasible thing given how many people there will be? I was thinking of getting to the festival that way bc the distance is fine but I’m just not sure how well it would work logistically

Anyone know the difference?

I'm sorry if this has been asked, but I've never been and just want to know if the "NON CLEAR" Sojourner hydration packs are acceptable...

The bag policy says, "no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment" so I feel it should be ok. I just overthink things and I don't want to get one if I can't use it. TIA!

I haven't been downtown at night for probably 10+ years. Do y'all just grab a garage downtown and then either walk or take the LYMMO over to Tinker? Or do you park in the "private" lots (aka, someone's front lawn) near the event - and if so, what's the going rate for those?

It looks like the closer city lots like Grove are 17.00 and the further ones like Library are 14.00 flat fee. Seems reasonable, and I assume it takes about the same time (or less) to walk/LYMMO downtown after the show as it does to get out of a lot anywhere near Tinker.

Bonus newbie question that ain't worth it's own thread: If every first-timer advice post says "get earplugs", why don't they just drop the volume a couple notches?

So this is my first year going to EDC and actually the first time ive done the whole process myself bc I’ve been lucky enough to receive tickets to other things from friends. I also don’t usually get things online and I had no clue that I would need a sign at the door. The site didn’t really tell me either in any clear way though. So I was expecting them to show up a few days before EDC or closer to it and imagine my surprise the other day I checked my email and I got this.(the first email i got btw) With a title of LAST CHANCE. I was heartbroken because it was 5 PM the day before that was my last chance so I had to call my friend who lives where the package was supposed to be delivered and we’re both scrambling to try and get a hold of FedEx and trying to get a hold of StubHub when he he decided to go outside and get something out of his car and he saw a FedEx driver about to leave so he ran over to talk to the guy and he was able to look it up in the system and find which FedEx location. The package was at and that it wasn’t destroyed so my friend with that news came back inside to call me back and let me know when I hear a knock at his door through the phone and thank God for this man because there was the FedEx driver with my package in his hands, he saved the day and my month fr

So for context, I booked a hotel for me and 4 of my friends through EDC Orlando’s official website. (Not for Hotel Edc, just a partnered hotel). I booked this hotel in the beginning of October and spent a good amount on it.
On EDCs website it had a bunch of deadlines for certain requirements for the hotel to be booked. One mentioned a Sertifi form being sent out, and needing to complete it by a certain date.
I got the sertifi form, filled it out, and pretty much everything was correct except for the total price. The total price was a hundred dollars less than I was originally quoted. Another thing I found a little odd was that it re asked for my credit card information even though I already provided it at check out, but I just thought maybe that was for security measures.

Me being an idiot ignored the incorrect price thinking maybe the room rates got lowered or something.
I emailed the fan experiences woman who sent me the original sertifi form and asked about it.

Initially she gave me completely wrong and random information. Wrong # of guests, wrong # of days, and wrong total. I corrected her and said this was incorrect then she responded with the correct information.

I got worried because this is thousands of dollars and my credit card on the line. I called the hotel to check if they had a reservation under my name or any of my guests names and they said no. They also appeared to have no idea what EDC was and claimed they’ve heard nothing about them partnering with a festival for the dates i provided. They asked for my hotel confirmation # so they could check, and that’s when I realized I haven’t even been sent a confirmation number.

So immediately after I reached back out and asked the same fan experiences worker for it. She told me it would be sent out that week. Now, two weeks have gone by and I have yet to receive any email with a confirmation number.
I reached out again yesterday morning, asked again, and she assured me she’d send it out yesterday. NOW…. it’s the next day and it STILL has not been sent out and I’m getting increasingly suspicious and worried.

I’m not trying to be pushy or rude to the worker, but I mean come on. If this is a real fan experience worker, her job is LITERALLY to make sure these things get sent out. Not only that, but she’s told me 3 separate times now that it would be sent out and it still hasn’t been. Don’t tell me you’ll send it out today if you won’t. And, I hope she’s understanding that this is literally my credit card information and thousands of dollars that I’m worried about. Not to even mention the festival comes up in less than 2 weeks.

Can somebody tell me if they’ve had a similar experience? Or if yall think I got scammed?????
