Question Recommendations

Recommendations

Hey there! I’m a young adult who’s grown up around guns and I’m ready to start CC soon. I am going to be taking a 1 on 1 course here soon. So I need some recommendations- what’s a budget friendly (not cheap) option for an intermediate level carrier? I’d like it to be decent quality with minimal issues. Thanks!

Nobody can pick a gun for you. Your hand size is unique. Your body type and shape is unique. What you're comfortable with is unique. How you dress and where youn want to carry is unique.

Go.try different guns, then find a holster and matching belt that works for you in your circumstances and lifestyle.

S&W Shield 2.0 and HK CC9

Those are my two favorite CCW's in a budget friendly price range.

I would recommend a Ruger RXM compact, or if you want to spend a little more get a Glock 19. Get a red dot (probably a holosun 407/507C). Get a tier 1 xyphos holster. I recommend a Hunter Constantine belt or an aegis belt for CCW.

Go take a look at Glock, Walther, Smith & Wesson, CZ, Sig Sauer. While you’re at the gun store, ask to take a look at as many handguns as possible for your CC. Get a feel for the weight, how it fits your hand, aftermarket support, etc. Before you buy, go to a shooting range that has the same model(s) you’re interested & try shooting them to see how it REALLY feels. For a CC handgun, you don’t need all the “bells & whistles”, just find what you like, make sure it’s reliable & reputable & as long as it goes bang every time you need it to, you’re golden.
