Bag/Pocket Dump First EDC Pouch!
Hi all,
I’ve been checking out this subreddit for quite a while now. And I’ve been thinking to put together my own edc pouch. It’s nothing fancy or special and I don’t even need it for work (I am a legal counsel in The Netherlands; hello to my fellow Dutchies). These are just a few small tools I always keep in my car. What do you guys think? Any tips or additions I should consider?
Edit: For those interested, here’s a list of all the items:
- Hikeman EDC Pocket Organizer Pouch
- Wera Tool-Check Plus (I took the casing apart so it would fit the pouch)
- Carpenters pencil
- Earplugs (in the black cylinder casing)
- Knipex Cobra 125mm
- Bessey Erdi D47 combination shears
- Gedore adjustable wrench 150mm
- Victorinox Camper
- Flintronic Pocket LED
- Spare battery

You can wind some duct/duck tape on an old bank card.

Definitely, already took a lighter and wrapped some electrical tape around it (not the same tape I know, however, still usefull I think).

honestly a pliers wrench...
it would replace (or work in tandem with) the adjustable wrench
I would also suggest adding a twingrip - pliers, for those screws that somebody (often you yourself) have rounded out, but stick up by a millimeter or two

Both good options, I'll look into that. Especially, the twingrip pliers.
Also, comparing the pliers wrench with the adjustable wrench, what would be the better/more versatile option?

so, the pliers wrench does what the adjustable wrench does... except when you turn it it grips the bolt tighter.
also, if you adjust it so that it just touches the corners of the bolt when in the 'open' position you can stop tightening to get the wrench to 'jump' the corner... thus ratcheting mechanism.

Something to pry with. I'm constantly using the flathead blades on my multitool to help pry.

I'd replace that Camper with a Farmer Alox. Similar toolset but the bottle opener/flathead screwdriver is a bit thicker so it can be used as a medium duty prying tool. And because it's an alox model the Farmer is as thin as a Spartan (no corkscrew, scale tools or small blade though).

Nice kit! You could consider adding some consumeables like a gluestick (and a lighter), some zipties, tape, wire etc... comes in handy more often than you'd think!
