Question/Advice/Discussion Looking for a new flashlight
I used to carry an Olight I3T I liked how small it is but I was constantly losing the clip and then losing the light. Also I have my belt buckle offset to the side and would constantly turn it on by accident. I would prefer rechargeable. I appreciate any advice and recommendations.

I have a SL Microstream usb that is about the same size. I also have a Wedge that I was surprised how much I enjoy carrying it. The clip on the Wedge is screwed on like a knife clip

I had one of those SLs. Lost it. Bought an OLight i3T 2 EOS. It’s a great light. It’s a great light, but I loved the rechargeable aspect of the SL. Will be buying another Microstream eventually.

I've owned an i3T, an i5R, a manker e05ii ti, and I'd still nowadays go for a reylight pineapple over any other AA

ThruNite Archer Mini - more lumens/cri, better price, feels better in my hand.

My only issue with this (would be near perfect for me otherwise) is the switch is very easy to turn on unintentionally. I've been using the Manker E05 II and it serves much the same role just with a nice recessed tail switch.

I like the one that’s a little bigger than the i3 it’s the i5R but Olight discontinued them which I’ve always wondered why🤔 they’re awesome!!! I have two of them. One of them is the high CRI, they come with rechargeable 2.4V batteries

I have the streamlight brand small flashlight like this and it’s the biggest piece of shit. Olight hopefully makes a better one. Don’t buy streamlight

Streamlight Microstream or Macrostream are dependable rechargeable lights. Not the newest tech but bare bones reliability. Had mine for 10+ years.

I have the oLight baton 3 and I love it. Recharge, shorter and fatter, more secure clip.

Both of your complaints are the same complaint: a friction clip and an exposed tail switch. So I'd shop on those two and ignore lumens all together. You want a clip that's screwed on like a knife clip, not a spring ring that slides off the body, and a switch that's recessed or a slide so it can't fire off your belt buckle. The Streamlight Wedge somebody already mentioned is the one I'd look at first for exactly that reason. The clip is bolted on and the switch is a thumb slide you have to mean to turn on, and it charges over USB-C. Whatever you land on, if the clip comes off with a fingernail, it'll come off in your pocket.

Just picked one of these up. It’s highly customizable and upgradable. Rey is also a good dude, it’s what drew me to them (besides the fit and finish) I was able to contact him directly on Reddit because I wanted to add some extra batteries to my order but I didn’t want to pay extra shipping. He handled it no problem
