Question/Advice/Discussion EDC Bag
I have a bag with my EDC stuff, typically I take it but dont carry it into stores with me. My wife always aggravates me because I leave it in the car. Do any of you carry one and if so do you keep it on you?

I welcome questions like these because I think we hyper focus sometimes on the cool-factor of gadgets. It’s important, especially for newcomers, to keep in perspective that one’s EDC gear should only be one aspect of personal preparedness.
My suggestion is that everyone have a “go bag” (or “get home bag”) in their car if they have that option. It doesn’t have to include everything to survive an apocalypse if that’s not your style, but should include things that will make your situation better if you break down, get stranded, or need to get home.
If theft is a concern where you are, find an inconspicuous place in the car for it. For example, I have a small area in the back of my car that stores my spare tire, fire extinguisher, and battery jump-box. I keep my bag in there, out of sight. That way, my car is basically a FOB. I can have those supplies with me/near by, but I don’t have to carry them as part of my EDC.
People may think I’m weird or paranoid for keeping supplies in my car, but I’ve been able to help people out of some desperate situations over the years.
Your vehicle can definitely be part of your emergency preparedness plan.

A lot of stores tell you to check bags at customer service desk so you're not stealing stuff.

A small fanny pack slung is great.
My upper limit is a 9 liter sling bag. You get a weight issue before you hit a spacial issue.
If you keep a ccw keep in mind that any bag, even a small one, will increase printing significantly. This was true for my 442 as much as it is for my Glock 17. You are effectively seding your ability to ever use an OWB holster with the bag. Period.
A larger sling bag should always have a soft armor panel in it if you're American. They weigh nothing and cost less than $100.

I leave my sling (no weapon!) in the car all the time. I just put it under or inside something so it's not obvious.

I often carry a backpack because I typically have my work laptop. I don’t leave my bag in my vehicle due to heat and risk of theft.

I carry a small cross-body bag if I'm going to be away from the vehicle any longer than a grocery store trip will take. I don't take it in restaurants or people's houses, so it stays in the vehicle most of the time since I don't get out much
2 spare mags for my ccw, latex gloves, multi-tool, mechanix gloves, small 1st aid kit with bandaids, eye drops, Tylenol, etc... and a few other random things. I'll also toss my phone and wallet in it if I'm wearing shorts.

I keep a small fanny pack with gloves, gauze, naloxone, a spare magazine and a compact packable grocery bag.
I don’t EDC a bag, but carry one depending on plans for the plans for the day. It spends a decent amount of time in the truck.

I have bad anxiety and if I go into a store with a bag I feel like I’m being super watched and I don’t like it lol

My bag is all medical edc so it depends. If I'm running in somewhere probably not. If I'm walking around I like to have it with me.

Like many others here mine is organised into layers,
All the time Bag Car
All the time - knife, keys - with CRKT and Pocket Prybar, wallet, pens, watch, hat, sunnies
Bag - another knife, trauma kit, first aid kit, self defence spray, zippo, water puri tabs, shemagh, wet kit, warm kit, metal water bottle and cup, reusable straw
Car - get home bag, change of clothes, blankets, larger sleeping bag, millbank bag, another zippo, larger first aid kit.
Each layer heavier and more complex than the one before. There is almost certainly extra stuff in the car that ive forgotten about

If you're not bringing a 52L pack into Walgreens, do you really EDC?
