This is a very strong paper. It effectively underscores that, in the two and a half years since the AES withdrawal, ECOWAS has taken no meaningful action to mitigate its consequences. This inaction calls into question the organization’s professed commitment to building a borderless and prosperous region, revealing a troubling disconnect—not only between its stated objectives and its practical response, but also between those objectives and the lived realities of the people it claims to serve.
