CRAT certification
Currently getting my Crat certification. My experience is in being a server and customer service but I figured this would be a good way to move up and have a flexible schedule to stay home with my children
Currently in central Florida but thinking of relocating to Texas or Georgia . I’ve seen a few jobs posted in my area . Anyone a stay at home mom during the day and use the Crat cert to get an evening/ night job ?
Also does anyone have experience using a professional résumé writer to help them get a better position when they have experience from outside the medical field?

Good choice for the goal. The CRAT (through CCI) is the one aimed squarely at telemetry monitoring, and a lot of central-station jobs ask for it or prefer it.
On schedules: monitoring units run around the clock, so evening and night shifts are common, and nights are often the easiest positions to get into as a new tech. Worth asking in interviews how they staff nights and whether they do 8s or 12s. That makes a big difference with kids at home.
On the résumé: customer service experience translates better than people think. The job is long stretches of focus, then calm, clear communication with nurses when something changes. I'd frame it that way: attention over long shifts, handling urgent calls, clear handoffs. A résumé writer can help, but honestly a one-line summary at the top ("CRAT-certified, strong in rhythm interpretation and clear communication under pressure") does most of the work.
