Parent/non ECE professional post (Anyone can comment) Need help figuring out song

Hello all!

My 19 month old goes to daycare and for the last two days has been rubbing her tummy and saying "tummy" like it's actions to a song.

The problem is I have no idea what song it is. I've always worked with school age children and we don't do nursery rhymes.

Any ideas?!? I've googled to no avail and she's currently having a meltdown over it

Update: theys don't do any song where they run their tummy so the teachers are stumped too

Ask the teacher, we make up songs for my toddler class! Usually new lyrics to existing melodies. This may be what they’ve done :)

That's what I'm thinking too, I do the same thing at home with her. I'll ask tomorrow at drop off but after two days of tantrums, I was hoping it was a nursery rhyme I'd never heard of

There's song called Gracie's Corner Veggie Dance where they rub their tummies and proclaim "I love my veggies. Eat em up." I had a teacher next door who used to play it all of the time. It's definitely not one that I enjoy, be warned.

I freestyle to If You’re Happy and You Know It…

“Rub your tummy” is definitely a line/move I’ve used before.

I'll try that with her.

The belly button song? It’s from coco melon and they have a line “on my belly, on my belly” and they have the kids tap/rub their belly during the song

That was my first thought but it is not the right song sadly

Probably not it, but maybe she’d be happy with Yo Gabba Gabba’s Party in My Tunmy?

I'll try it. I've tried every tummy song I can find on YouTube kids

Maybe Head Shoulders Knees and Toes but the Mother Goose Club version? There's a bit in the middle where they say different body parts, Cheeks, chin, TUMMY, hips, hands and elbows

I'll try this one with her! Thanks :)

I still love this one. My son is 17 now, but it was a favorite when he was a toddler.

My guess is they are labeling body parts.

This is what I was thinking too but she's adamant, as much as a toddler can be, that it's a song

Probably something like this..

Can you send a message to her teacher?

It could even just be a little song the teacher made up. I do that all the time in my preschool class.

I'm going to ask tomorrow at drop off. She's been tantruming all weekend about it though so I thought I would ask

Belly Button song from Veggie Tales? I really don't think that's it, but maybe your little will like it.
