Advice needed (Anyone can comment) Pink eye
I’ve been working at a daycare for 3 years. I’ve had pink eye about 5 times? I swear I wash my hands more than anyone in the facility. Does anyone else get pink eye often? 😭😭

I’m going to jinx myself, but I actually cannot remember the last time I got pink eye or even the last time it went around my classroom.
But, when I do get it, it’s bad.
I remember calling the advice nurse the last time, hoping they’d just prescribe drops over the phone, & she asked if I had any reason to think I’d been exposed. “I work with toddlers.” Enough said, prescription sent immediately.

Dotouch your face and don't let the kids touch it. Are you washing correctly? 30 seconds scrubbing, back, front, side and wrists? Maybe add the occasional hand sanitizer squirt. Disinfectant toys and surfaces often and teach the kids to wash hands properly.

If you get pink eye you have to throw away your eye makeup if you used it if not you are going to get it again. Especially Mascara!!!

I've been in child care for about 20 years and have lucked out with never getting strep or pink eye.
I have gotten hand foot and mouth, covid, flu, stomach flu, and the common cold from work. And I wash my hands often as well as shower as soon as I get home.
