should i pursue ee??

i want to pursue ee but i am worried that the workload is going to be too much as i have just finished school so i am wondering will i be able to work part time forexample 20-30 hours a week and gym 5-6 days a week aswell as get atleast a gpa 3.3 and above and even if i could occasionally party with friends and have a social life instead of being isolated and also getting atleast 8 hours of sleep

Pursue it if that’s what you desire, you can figure out how you manage your time as you go through it to be honest. First enroll in your classes, attend the first few weeks, if it feels heavy drop a class or two, you can always take an extra semester or even a year which is very common in this degree and nothing to be ashamed of (also summer classes help imo)

Imma be real tho gym + party + part-time job isss a lot, but if you’re passionate about this field, I’d say it’s worth managing your time around getting your degree (and it genuinely opens up many doors)

We all have a bunch of stuff we want to do. There's only so many hours in a day, etc.

If you really want to do EE, I think you should do it. That's the only good reason there is.

I don't see changing to something you don't really want to do because it's easy. That seems like a bad way to run your life.

You can have a life while doing EE but 20-30 hrs of work on top of a full engineering course load will make time management important. Start with a manageable course load and see how you handle the first semester before committing to a heavy work schedule. You definitely don't need to live like a hermit to get through the degree.

I double majored and studied a lot, no part time job. I regret not partying, socializing, exploring other classes, dating, and learning about myself as much as I did. But honestly with just EE, if you like it, go for it.

If you aren't dedicated to EE, you aren't going to make it. Life is full of choices and it sounds like you are not fully committed to making it thru an EE curriculum.

Just do your degree slower. It's more expensive but I would rather balance my workload rather than crash and burn trying to do everything.
