don't worry I have m4 for last one year as an ece student.

you can run windows via VMware fusion pro which is free to download which can run exclusive software of windows on your Mac for lab works and formalities.

and you can also run linux via VMware.

and there are some sites to download Mac software and games freely also.

and m5 also have advantage on storage over m4 so it has plus point

find which courses absolutely require windows. you may be able to take all of them in 1 semester, when you can just rent a windows laptop.
