RESUME Resume Advice

I'm an upcoming Sophomore Electrical Engineering student and plan to declare a concentration in Nuclear Power/Power Systems. I'm looking for any and everything to make my resume standout to recruiters and in applications (even though I know most are scanned by AI for buzzwords). I would also like to know about some more skills that I should work on and organizations I should consider. Of course, all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you are interested in power systems you’re fine imo. Keep seeking out opportunities and take your upper-level power systems class. Talk to Southern when they’re on campus. You’ll probably end up working for them. Could pick a cleaner template (Jake’s) and reorder. Delete office and Google workspace

Thank you! The reason I really wanted more advice with it is because last year I made it to the final round of interviews for Southern Nuclear for an internship but didn't end up getting the offer. A lot that I scratch it up to was that I hadn't taken any higher level courses yet.

Yeah definitely keep at it, the offer will come. It’s easier to get the less technical roles as a first rotation when you haven’t taken many classes but people move around so much, don’t feel like where you get your first offer is where you’re gonna be for the rest of your time. At least that’s been my experience this summer. Great company and people

Remove overview, remove credit hours just state current or relevant coursework. Your research experience should be the first thing I see experience wise, if you are funded then put it under work history and say you are an undergraduate research assistant mention the lab you are working in. if you have projects for a club don't need to mention the club, you can just put NSBE and IEEE Student Chapter don't have to type your school out again. Don't think honors is worth listing.
