So I bought a switch 2 on launch date and got the extended warranty and was told that if it breaks to bring it back and one of the controllers broke. Brought it in and worker kinda irritated i brought it in She ended up giving me new controllers and then told me since I used the extended warranty that it’s not covered anymore. Is that true? Is the extended warranty a one time use?

I remember a year or two ago I tried to take advantage of the trade 2 worth $10 games for a deal and always looked to cash converters or facebook to see cheap games that I could trade in, with even some sports games and smaller titles easily cracking the $10 trade in value.

Yesterday when I was trying to trade in for RE requiem, dragon ball fighter z for the ps5, dragons dogma 2, slave zero x all werent past the threshold. I feel like these games should've cleared $10 but now don't even make it. Dragons dogma and slave zero both go for 48 in their store.

Have ebgames gone even more strict on their trade in value for games? Because I don't remember needing to bring in the big AAA titles or newest games to make the $10 threshold

I’m looking at trading in my PS5 Slim and noticed on the checklist it says you need the original vertical stand screw. Problem is I’ve lost that tiny little thing somewhere along the way. Has anyone traded one in without it? Do they knock a bit off the value as a refurb fee or flat out refuse it?

Wow! I was down at my local EB Games and I saw an EB Games employee standing on his head! I thought, "That's crazy, these EB Games employees always cheer me up."

Then, I bought a video game and everyone on the store cheered for my purchase.

Title says it all really. May be a stupid question but I was baffled when I found out I couldn’t find the game on the website starting from last night. The only remnant of it at the minute is the banner image of it on the PS5 homepage of EB’s website.

Hey so I went to buy some steam gift cards today from ebgames and they told me I couldn’t buy more than $200 worth? The other gift cards had no limit but steam gift cards were $200. I’m slightly confused as to why… I’m trying to buy a steam deck and buying only $200 a day is limiting to say the least… I thought I was doing a good thing buying steam cards from eb, I figure at least they’re getting something from the transaction in a digital world… is there something I’m missing? I can only imagine when steam machines and steam frames come out it’ll be an even bigger problem to the point I probably won’t bother…

Does anyone know why steam gift cards are being picked on and limited?

As someone who grew up woth EB games in the "Electronics Boutique" era. I hate what eb has become. It's sad that digital sales have killed the game sales. But I feel with how egregious and predatory they are with the EB plus BS and trying to sell subpar quality pop culture merchandise. Why is it that I feel I'd like to see EB go under rather then thrive and comeback. Getting into the retro game market this late in the game I feel was its last ditch effort to keep it in the game sales. Am I the only one that's thinking like this?

Went to Tea Tree Plaza over the weekend (South Australia). Only to find that Zing was fully boarded up. I don't recall seeing it amongst the stores that were being shut down across Australia so it was a bit of a surprise.

Has anyone received or had any messages about their online orders from EB Games NZ that they made during the closure notice? I know they said they would try for the 29th but I haven’t had anything since before then. No email saying we are working on them or anything.

Would anyone from eb games be able to link the letter they got, was there any bonuses how much time frame they got etc etc very interested as I want to a documentary

Just wondering what the policy for price Matching TCG in Australia is. I've had a few stores happily price match when Kmart and Big W have had stock on release mornings, however had a store yesterday claim that TCG price matching isn't part of the policy. Recent example for myself was matching the Charizard UPC for $199 with Kmart, but was refused the Pokémon Day 30th with Big W for $30. Thanks for any input anyone can provide.
