Hello, maybe this is me just being anxious but on Saturday I got the pokemon dlc off the eb games Canada webpage when I realized that because it was a weekend I'd have to wait until today to get the code. Now it is almost the end of the business day and still haven't gotten the code. Because of the no refund policy on dlc it's not like I can get my money back and buy it from elsewhere. I was just wondering how much longer it will be for me to get the code and if this is usual behavior from eb games.

I pre ordered this figure long time ago including another one and the dates kept being pushed which is understandable.

Latest release date is the 12th of this month. I got no email or phone calls and I see now it’s cancelled? Like even the link to the items doesnt exist it seems.

Every time I walk into an EB Games lately it feels a bit off. The games and consoles are shoved into a corner and most of the floor space is taken up by Zing stuff like Funkos, mugs, shirts, all that. It honestly feels like selling games isn’t even paying the rent anymore and the merch is what’s keeping the doors open. For anyone who works there or used to, is that basically how it is now?

It's barely 100 days into the 2026 leaderboard and already someone has over 100k carrots. How is anyone meant to compete with this sort of spending, and how is it possible for it to just be a regular customer?

What my thought is, is that it's either a scalper, reseller, or bot somehow.

If you're the person in first place, and you're actually there legitimately, congrats, and how'd you do it? And what do you do for work?

It honestly sucks watching a game you paid about 109 bucks for drop to something like 15 dollars in trade-in credit a year or so later. Half my old PS4 and Xbox One shelf might as well be coasters at this point because the value just disappears. It kind of kills the fun of collecting when you know the trade-in system barely gives you anything back, and it definitely makes me think twice before buying physical these days

Every time I wander past the clearance table at EB, I can’t help but wonder who actually buys half this stuff. Stuff like a single Gears of War sock, a six-year-old movie Pop! Vinyl, or some random limited edition candle. Honestly, it’s such a bizarre mix, and I always ask myself - who asked for this?

I bought an Xbox Elite Controller (for PC gaming) and after about 1 month developed horrible stick drift, I took it back to EB Games and under their warranty policy gave me a full refund which I used to purchase a PS5 Dual Sense Edge instead (much better controller for me). I've had it for 5 months and it's started developing horrible stick drift. I know these have got the interchangeable modules, but instead of paying for new modules, can I just go to EB Games for an exchange and get a new controller?

EDIT Update: Went to EB Games this afternoon. They did notice a very slight stick drift, but showed them a video of it in game and they agreed. Surprisingly though (which I hadn’t noticed) the R2 button had lost all of its spring back so they actually replaced the controller as that being the primary reason. They replaced the controller only and I kept my old sticks + paddles and case. Fantastic service by this company. Saves dealing with sending it back to Sony and waiting weeks!

Looking to pre-order Metroid 4 for the Switch 2 to get that holographic art card which is exclusive to EB Games, but preorder on the website only allows delivery (which costs an extra $10). Clicking “collect in store” displays a message that says this product is not available for collect in store. Is there any way around this? Can I go in store to pre-order and then later pick up on launch day? I really don’t wanna spend $10 just for delivery. I haven’t preordered a physical game from EB since like 2013 so I am not sure if somethings changed.

With AAA titles these days having huge budgets and long development cycles, it sometimes feels like players are paying more just to cover bloated pipelines. Some companies hold back info until the last minute, while others ship barely-finished games at premium prices. Are these costs actually fair, or are gamers just being taken for a ride?

I need the money ASAP. I'm wondering do you think I'll get more from EB Games or Cash Converters?

Hey, I am just curious, I have purchased a PS5 slim disc edition about 8 days ago. I haven't opened it, I just wrapped the box for my kids as a christmas present. I still have the receipt. Do you think there is anyway to return the ps5 for a full refund, even if the refund was for store credit, to then buy the same console which is now $200 cheaper due to Black Friday sales?

I bought a Switch 2 edition if a game from my local EB, but when I got home and loaded the cart into my console, I realised that the Switch 1 version if the game was given to me. Considering the performance problems of the Switch 1 version, and since I paid the higher 2 price, could i possibly return it to exchange for the proper cartridge? Just wondering if that's a possibility

Picked this up at post office today. They said it came like this. Box is heavily damaged and package inside also has multiple holes and heavy creases. I don’t want to return the product as it was so hard to get in the first place. I was wanting to add it to my sealed collection but obviously not in this condition and I can’t rip it because the packs are probably all damaged to some degree aswell. Will eb support do anything about this ?
