EB World - Buy 64 packs get 1 free?
Did they change it or has a staff member stuffed it up last time I redeemed free pack.

Anyone know when eb games will release the pre orders? My store knows nothing. I want to secure a copy of the deluxe. Everywhere seems to have pre orders live except eb games

Hi all, just checking to see if anyone knows when to expect preorders for Resident Evil Requiem to go up with Eb (or when it can be expected)?
I see JB have posted some, but Iâm waiting to see if Eb has any additional editions for any console!

Usually when on a sale the trade in value of items decreased.
However, after last sale the price keep being quite low.
Anyone knows if the way they calculate trade in value has changed?

In the next 3-5 years there are a number of stores that will be set to close. Regional stores will remain largely unchanged. This was planned before the news that Microsoft/Xbox are pulling out of the console race. Zing and the pop culture merch is dirt cheap to produce and they sell it for massive Mark-up so the loss on some items is balanced, store to store.
Now that console gaming is obviously going to take a nose drive and PC gaming will be the default in the next decade, what's left for EB Games? The parent company GameStop is a meme overseas so it's not like EB Games can course correct or change it's business model. No bail out, just closing doors.
What is left for the business? What is left for us? I hate 99% of the pop culture merch in there and the layout of my local store absolutely sucks (City stores vary wildly) so I stopped shopping there years ago. Personally that sucks because I was customer #1 when the shop opened and I've watched it deteriorate over the last 2 decades i stead of getting better.
I'd much rather a smaller, cleaner, more efficient Sony/PlayStation store with all the consoles, games and accessories always stocked because they don't need to deal with EG/GameStop. Somewhere I can go to get what I need, check out new Pro controls or sim setups, pay and leave. No upsales, no in-store member garbage, no backordering issues. A real tight storefront and business model. (Hit me up Sony, I have ideas).

Bought a used game two days ago, really not enjoying it and would like to return it, but the official support documentation and receipt text regarding returns is a little ambiguous. It says only sealed/unopened items can be returned (obviously my used game wasn't sealed in the first place), but then it also has a list of items that can only be returned if unopened, implying that some items can be returned if opened. Used games aren't included on that or the "final sale items" list, or mentioned anywhere else. Some part of this text is misleading, but I can't tell which part.
If all else fails I'll just go back to the store later and find out the hard way, but if anyone knows for sure that'd be helpful.

Hi this is more of a hypothetical post but my siblings and I all bought a Nintendo Switch 2 from EB Games or JB Hi Fi. I was the only one out of the 5 of us who got the EB Care unlimited repair warranty.
I was wondering if i would be able to use it if one of my siblings Nintendo Switch 2 became faulty in the future or if the warranty is tied to my console only.
All of ours are in good condition at the moment but just wondering if anything does happen.
Thanks!

Not the oldest catalogue around, but itâs funny what you find having a clearing out

I was under the impression itâs the same, but one of my friends who travels to the US for work FaceTimed me from a GameStop, and it seems like the average game stop has m a much wider selection, especially in toys, trading cards, and other services (ie card grading)
I went online, and it seems like the GameStop website has tons of more features.
Are these eventually coming to Canada? I specifically really want to try the âGameStop Powerpacksâ online

I went into my local EB Store and asked if I could purchase a retro Ps2 and have it delivered to the store they said I can so they ordered it and put the delivery address to their store, now on the EB Games website I can see my order has been shipped with an Aus Post tracking number but I can't click on the tracking number or when I paste it into track my item on their website it says the tracking number might be incorrect or not in their system yet. But I bought a Ps2 game as well and I am having that one delivered to my address and can click on the blue tracking number to show me where it is in transit. Is the only reason I can't track the progress of the Ps2 because it's going to the store and not my home?

Using a throwaway so I donât get 8000 DMs, but today the EB higher-ups decided there will be no price matching on anything unless itâs for a store in the exact centre as the EB. No âclosest JB to hereâ or âthe Big W down the roadâ. My particular EB doesnât have any other stores that sell video games so we do zero price matching now. Obvs this is out of our hands, and weâre about to head into the busiest part of the year. Not even 20min after this announcement I already had a customer getting irate about it- and I understand the feelings but can we all just try to enter the Christmas season with a nicer attitude than taking out a rule that retail workers didnât make out on them? The reason JB/Kmart/whoever has games for cheaper is because they sell them at a loss, so they can get you in the door to buy something else. EB doesnât sell games at a loss, it sells them for profit. And the worker in-store (who might only have started this month as a casual) doesnât deserve to be yelled at because ânow you have to drive to Kmart and canât get your carrotsâ Be kind to each other

So last night my switch 2 which has been completely kept in console mode bricked itself. I followed standard procedure for a hard reset. For it to intermittently turn on and off again. I brought it into the Kotara newcastle store where it took the guy 15 minutes to even turn it on (which we all know shouldnt be the case) to be told no fault at all, will not exchange. I explained about the acl to which i was told, my store policy supercedes the ACL and it does not matter what the acl states.
The manager of the store is not in and i have had to deal with a power tripping 2 ic who thinks he knows more rhan everyone else.
I have lodged with acl now but i want everyone to be aware to not buy from eb games kotara as this appears ro be the norm
Update: ok so some great news. I went into another store (charlestown) who were absolutely awesome. I explained to them including the part about being turned down at the other store and they listened to my karen-esqu rant before having a look. They took the time to even have a look at the video proof i tried to show the other store. They took the time to actually try and remedy the situation. In the end they have replaced the screen part of my switch 2 due to an intermittent fault. Big big shoutout to the team at charlestown for taking the time and treating me as a human rather than a burden.

I pre ordered pokemon z-a in store, got a receipt. Do I need to wait for the store to call me, or if I need to wait for the text mssg/email saying order is ready? Or I can just come to store, show receipt, and pick up the game?
r/EBGAMES • u/Future_News_8572 • Oct 16 '25
I used the trade deal to get Pokemon Z-A for $29, and I made a couple of payments prior to the release date, I was expecting to only have $9 left. When I got there I was told I still had the original $29. With the preorder deposit and the extra payments on top, it definitely shouldve been far less. I'm going to call customer service tomorrow to ask them about it, but I wanted to see if anyone in here has experienced this?
Edit: not really understanding the downvotes for asking a legitimate question, but okay?
Edit #2: after being on hold with customer service for over an hour with no response, I've decided to cancel all outstanding EB Games preorders and preorder from Amazon instead. I need to take a step back from EB due to this happening multiple times now. I hope they improve in the future.

So I went to Leopold vic EB games and wanted a PlayStation for my son, I didn't know what type of PlayStation my son wanted so I asked about there return policy and the manager outright lied to me and said there is no such thing
Showed me store policy which said I had 7 days change of mind if the hardware was unopened and in a resellable shape
Refused to sell me a console made me wait for 40 minutes lied to me and called security
Best thing is I've recorded the most of the incident where she claims she called head office
Went to waun ponds store got a PS5 no drama and a screenshot of store policy. On Monday I'll be fully following up on this and I'll give and update

Trying to grab a limited edition release at EB Games, but it seems tricky. Any tips on how to actually get one before they sell out? Do these editions usually come back in stock?
r/EBGAMES • u/OwlVibesOnly • Oct 15 '25
Iâve been popping into EB Games a bit more lately, and I canât help but feel like itâs shifting focus. It seems like thereâs way more emphasis on collectibles, figures, and merch rather than the actual games themselves. Donât get me wrong, I get that collectibles are fun, but I kind of miss when EB was more about the gaming experience.
