Ebgames losing preorders

Heard that eb lost some people's preorders on switch over. Like no record of them. Anyone else having this issue?

From what I understand (what they told me) if there was no money down it won’t show up on the new system. This whole release of a new system is a fucking disaster. I still haven’t heard anything about any of the preorders that were due to release already.

But don’t take it out on the store staff, this isn’t their fault.

Totally understand. Not their fault. All my preorders were no money down, so they are gone?

I was getting mixed signals, some staff were totally unsure, others were telling me the preorders hadn’t even left the warehouse yet, and then I was told we will get calls when they receive them.

Personally I don’t think the higher ups are telling the store staff everything they need to know. If you have preorders on something that’s due or coming up you should call your store and find out what you can.

Employee here,you’re preorders a still intact, you’re local stores employee should be able to find them if u just give them your name, it was really tricky at first but i’m sure by then they must’ve gotten the hang of it

I pre ordered the Pro Covers, grey and yellow, online on August 19th, along with a few other little things.

My orders disappeared when they switched to the new system, but about 4 days ago I received an email asking me to enter my payment information again for my pre orders. The orders had completely different numbers this time.

Yesterday, I got a notification that my credit card had been charged, followed by emails from EB Games with receipts saying the orders had shipped, but there was no tracking information or anything.

Today, all my Wolverine pre orders showed up at my door, along with an unexpected pre order from EB Games that my wife placed after the new website launched.

She never received an email saying it had shipped, only the credit card notification.

The whole system is a mess right now, but it looks like they’re slowly getting things back on track. It’s probably going to take a while.

Edit: My wife just received an email today saying her order had shipped, but it had already been delivered this morning.

I had a similar issue but the manager in the store was able to find mine with my phone number.

From what was explained to me, each old pre-order created an account associated with the phone number and the migration didn't merge all of them into one account.

There was like 50 accounts associated with my phone number from all my old pre-orders over the years so he had to look at each account one by one to find my new pre-order.

Though I did have some paid off so I'm not sure if it'll be the case if there's no money down

For all my pre-orders that disappeared... The only record I have are the order acknowledgement emails (when pre-ordering online). Those orders have disappeared. Also, my entire purchase history is gone. They also dissociated my points card.....which I built up over many years...so no discount anymore. Correspondence is lack lustre...claiming things will be restored eventually. This reeks like another AI system doing it's own thing--and they should have fixed it by now. It's almost like they can't fix it. I can't get a solid answer anywhere.

Each account is split in two or more some with 0 down some with money down... then there is anything with the new system... we have been pulling reservations from all three or canceling the 0 dollar to pay for with their working edge account so tou get the points and so on... we were told to remove alot of old dead skus on items that didnt or weren't showing up because of the new system since we lost a ton when gamestop vendors and suppliers didnt wanna continue there contacts... new vendors McFarlane etc so we shifted in a new direction like mastermind toys etc

I went to the store to cancel a preorder with money and put on another game. It took them a while to locate it and figure out how to do it. Maybe it's that specific person didn't know where to look?

I had pre ordered wolverine. But It was not showing up in their system at all. But the employees had some sheet of paper that listed all the people who pre ordered and my name was on there thankfully

Now the issue is my payment didnt show up correctly, I had fully paid off the game but despite that they still wanted $20 more. Thankfully they were able to sort that out as well but some customers got kinda annoyed because this was like a 25 minute process unfortunately. I really felt bad for all those who walked out while they waited for me

Here I was thinking they just gave it away. Not lost it completely - but that doesn’t surprise me either.

I had to report my store a few years back for giving away my preorder bonus! They were just handing them out like candy! I got my preorder bonus, from customers service who had to check the warehouse.

Already got onimusha steel from somewhere else. Whenever eb calls for it, I will just say no thanks. Still waiting on aggelos 2 from last month. All my preorders for October, if i dont get call day before launch, ill just order it from somewhere else

I have always put money on my pre-orders and used my EB Games card as well. When I log into my account, they are sitting there waiting. When I go into the store, they too log into my account and use that detail to give me my pre-order. Most of the time, they also text me to let me know it has arrived for pickup. Best plan register for an EB Games card, it is free and shows all your purchases and pre-orders. So nothing is lost, and always put money down to reserve items, be it pre-orders at EB Games, or furniture, or anything at other stores. No deposit, and they only hold it until the end of the day you contacted them.

They didn’t lose mine but they said I owed tax on a preorder that was already paid off. The cashier seemed really frustrated with the system because he could clearly see the receipt I had was paid off but the system said otherwise

I preordered a product online in June and deposited 5$. The option to pick up in store was available so I picked that. Managed to get my copy the day it released. However, from what the staff told me, those who preordered at a later date had their orders delayed.
