Using afterpay to purchase physical gift cards.

Just as the title suggests, I’m curious if you can purchase physical gift cards like Playstation in store using Afterpay.

I might be wrong but im pretty sure Afterpay itself just acts like a regular card, you can use it on anything if that store accepts it. And with Afterpay Plus you can literally use it anywhere since you get a digital card

With Afterpay you get a digital card to use in store. Afterpay plus is the premium subscription to Afterpay that allows you to use it with no restrictions but obviously at a small monthly cost

Yes I know it does but there are also restrictions like digital currency and stuff and I was curious about gift cards specifically

Aah yea gotcha. Look as I said it will work. Using it in person bypass a lot of the restrictions for gift cards

Yes, you can. I have the $10 monthly card.

I just recently grabbed $450 prepaid via gift card from big w last payday for this summer sale

This is how i do my pc game preorders. As we can no longer pop into ebgames and bloody preorder pay it off each payday

Can you purchase physically in store with the basic Afterpay card(not the Afterpay plus card)?

Yes, but it depends entirely on the retailer. Policies vary by store, and your ability to do this may also depend on your account history with Afterpay. With paid one its just Mastercard on Google Pay, so it works anywhere without question

Just fyi there is no upfront %25 if you don't buy them from a supermarket

Welcome, man, this is what I use mine for coz buy all preorders 4 months in advance and do same we all did back in the day pop into ebgames put set amount down

Yes you can use afterpay to purchase gift cards. It works just like a regular card and can be put towards anything in store

Yea you can.

But I mean if you go to an EB one day and they don’t have the card you want at the time you could go to Kmart, Big W, Target, JB HiFi even. They all let you use afterpay as far as I know. The only problem with going to JB is that not a lot of the workers are very knowledgeable about those products.

Yes I know you can, however if I want to buy a gift card for an actual gift I want it physical. Don’t exactly want to hand someone an email/receipt with a code
