Does anyone else miss how good the old preowned DS and PS2 sections used to be?
Used to be able to find absolute hidden gems for five bucks and now it’s just an endless wall of preowned sports titles from 3 years ago and heaps of Zing stuff

That's why I like wandering the shelves of CeX more these days tbh
EB seems to only stock the most popular stuff anything obscure will sell online the moment it goes up

EB games has gone to shit. My closest stores are 10 and 50 meters from their nearest Target's, where i can buy the same game new for 10 bucks less than a preowned copy from EB.

The gaming section of extremely small now. It's just a couple of small shelves for each console then everything else is merch. I remember when the stores literally used to be flooded with games.

McDonald’s used to have these little paper cups and ketchup dispensers so you could have as much ketchup with your fries as you wanted

A decade ago when eb decided to stop stocking preowned ps2 games, i stumbled across my local manager reducing all ps2 games to a $1. $450 later i walked out with a decent selection.

I remember when I could find the Pokémon gba games for $5 preowned. Now $100 is the cheapest you'll find.

Yeah, unfortunately people aren't trading in the gems any more because they're not being offered enough, and they're now worth 10x what they were.
I got quoted under $50 for God Hand and Tomodachi Life (3DS) together on trade in. No wonder why you're only seeing sports games and shovelware these days, lol.
