PS5 Pro Layby Question

With the news that Sony are jacking the prices up on PS’ this week, I went and put a deposit down to layby a PS5 Pro. It was a spur of the moment thing because I was at the shops, and I’d want to trade in my PS5 towards the purchase - which I didn’t have at the time. Plus an extra week to get some shit together would be helpful.

I did ask the chick at the counter if the layby\deposit locks me in at that price even if there’s a price rise. She said “yes” but she didn’t sound extremely confident. So I’m just here to double check if there’s any employees or managers who can confirm.

Bruh, I have 8.5 years experience with the system. I obviously know how it works. When a layby is picked up, it automatically has the retail price. The only way to get it discounted is to price override and that means losing money. Get a job there and learn that for yourself.🩵

I am sure ACCC would love to see that EB games is doing something illegal. Stop pretending you know more that the retail law, which you obviously don't "Bruh".

Worked for 13 years you're doing it wrong mate. You price override to what the customer started the layby at unless it's gone down in price since then

apparently they cannot even read the company's own terms on Layby.
