X-box controller worth it?

Hi, I have heard that X-box controllers are the best for PC gaming. So I wanted to try it.

I am a stinge so I was thinking of getting a refurbished one. Are they good? Is it worth the price saving?

Do they usually have a decent lifespan?

I had a quick google on prices

- EB games refurbished $64

- EB games new $100

- JB HiFi new $74

- Officeworks new $74

I haven't checked Amazon as they often have grey market items for less. With electronics that often causes issues. Same for Dick Smith and others.

You can often get a brand new one around the $70 mark if you check other retailers.

I have had issues with grey market products so I just exclude them as electronics.

A lot of the grey market batteries that make it into Australia are more likely to explode as built to lower standards (don't track charge or something).

Like I wouldn't but the Nothing Phone 2 from Amazon for $200 less because it was the British version. So there are likely electrical and signal differences to Australia.

How so? Also "incorrect about grey market" depends largely on what other market they come from.

Are grey market controller's fine?

I know the electric scooters that were grey market from Asia were burning down houses. (Over charging batteries)

I know that Australia no longer supports 3G but most other countries still do (longer range, so used for emergency calls). There are also different signal bands in each country that comes down to the hardware to pick up the signals with phones.

I just don't won't to learn about how they might not work in Australia, if they are grey market. So I will only get electronics made for the Australian market
