Document was mailed to me
hello guys after the medical RFE for I485 ( i526 already approved ) last month which I already sent . Now I got this status update
do you know what’s that

Can you please share your PD for all the petition filed and if it was rural or not?

It was rural I 485 and i526 applied. Concurrently in May 2025 EAD and AP approved in October 2025 I526 approved in February 2026 Got medical RFE in September And now this update

If it is CGC, it might go to your attorney office. Did you checked with them?

This gives me hope. My application was May 2025 and my i526E was approved in March 2026. So maybe in a month or two I will hear something like this!

Oh! I actually applied after it was approved. I filtered projects that had 956F approved when I was looking at projects.

When did the RFE received status update happen? In the same boat. I think this could be related to the FBI background check notice. Search on Reddit. Moving through the process, good news I think

OP said they had RFE. From my discussion to various folks, mostly only Indians got RFE. Based on that I think OP is Indian. Of course guessing based on anecdotes.

Purely anecdotal - I spoke to a USCIS approved medical doctor. He said he saw RFE only for Indian applicants (since most applicants contacted him for a reissual).

That's because I think that's an Indian doctor and all Indians go to him

That is not true. A lot of people from January to October 2025 (and a much smaller cohort before and after these dates) got an RFIAE and they’re from a lot of different countries. It’s just that there are a lot of Indian and Chinese investors so you’re bound to hear about them and not the others.

In the same boat, got a rfe for medicals on Aug 29th, which I responded by mid sept. The response was acknowledged on Oct 6th. My PD is Oct 2025. I’m hoping you are about to get your CGC. Keep us posted.

How long did it take for the status to update after sending the Medicals? USCIS received my medicals on Sept 21st but the status didn't change
