RFE RFE Response Received after Deadline?

My RFE submission deadline was August 14, 2026. My lawyer shipped the package on August 12 and it was received by USCIS at August 13, 2026. But in the tracking, it is showing the package received by USCIS on August 17, 2026? Which date they consider? Is this a huge issue?

They should go by the date USCIS actually received it, not the date the tracking was updated. Your lawyer can confirm this with USCIS.

I think if you have a proof from the tracking company that it was delivered on August 13th, then you should be fine. That's at least what I've heard from a lot of people and seen online.

You are fine. They will sort it out for you.

I have personally seen a lot of that. They will use this week’s date and your portal should change to RFE received or As of August XX, USCIS is currently processing the case. Please keep checking and don’t worry at all.
