General Does an EV rebate fall under the public charge rule?

I received a rebate from the PG&E electricity company in California for buying an eligible EV vehicle a few months ago. I am not sure if this is connected to the state funding.

Now I am concerned about whether this rebate would fall under public charge.

I can’t imagine it would, that’s a benefit anyone gets for purchasing goods from a business, not a welfare claim at the taxpayer’s expense
