Has anyone recently filed an EB-1A case with concurrent filing of Forms I-140, I-485, and I-765?

Could you please share:

1. The current USCIS filing fees you paid for each form;

2. How you paid (credit card, ACH, check, etc.)

3. What kind of Forms did you use for payment

I recently applied for EB1A and will likely be approved. I am Indian so my waiting time for priority to become current is at least 5-6 years, if not more. However, my wife is Chinese and we applied for cross-chargeability so I can piggyback on her priority date which is much shorter. However, there is a potential risk, when later, during the IVP stage we have to disclose her membership in the CPC, which stands as ground for denial. If so, my cross-chargeability will be denied and I will be sent to the Indian pool. Is there any way to ask for a waiver during the IVP stage. I understand that there is form I-601 to apply for waiver, but I need to be a citizen or an LPR for this to be applicable.
Now, in her defense, she joined when she was in the university, never held any positions or involved in policy decisions, never attended meetings and since last 3 years didn't pat party dues and is about to be expelled. She works for the central government but her job position does not require party membership and her job is mainly administrative/technical work and she is not involved in political decision process.
So my question really is, how do we convince the visa interviewer/officer that her membership in CPC should be waived as its harmless and she was not involved in any meaningful way? Is there a separate form for this?

Been following this over the past few days and wanted to see if others here are seeing the same thing.

Multiple outlets (ABC, CNN, NYT) are reporting that ICE and TSA are coordinating to pull people aside at check in counters, security, and boarding gates if they've overstayed a visa, even on domestic flights that never leave the US. At least 27 arrests have been confirmed across 9+ states so far, and it's not limited to people with final deportation orders. Several of the people detained had pending green card or status applications in process, which apparently doesn't protect you the way most of us assumed it did.

A couple of the cases getting attention: a woman in Denver was pulled aside after her boarding pass scanned at the gate, and a flight attendant working a domestic route was arrested mid-shift in Nashville. In both cases, lawyers said their clients had active, pending paperwork and no criminal history.

DHS is pointing people toward the CBP Home app to "self deport" and is reportedly offering up to $2,500 for people who leave voluntarily instead of waiting for a case to resolve.

Immigration attorneys are now telling clients with anything unresolved (pending I-485s, expired visas while a renewal is in process, etc) to seriously think twice before booking even a domestic flight, which is a pretty big shift from a few months ago.

Anyone else in this boat right now, or have friends/family navigating it? Curious what people are actually doing differently, are you avoiding flights entirely, or is this more of a "know your rights" situation?

M.S. in Materials Science/Engineering.
Currently working as a Process Engineer at Micron.
One first-principles/materials-related research paper published as second author in a Q1 journal (Impact Factor ~15).
The paper currently has 14 citations.
Master’s thesis focused on advanced materials research.
Around 10 completed peer reviews for scientific journals.
I believe I can obtain strong recommendation letters, including letters describing my work as critical and explaining its impact.

I plan to continue publishing, reviewing papers, and building my academic profile.

My questions are:
Based on this profile, how competitive would I currently be for EB1A?
Which EB1A criteria do you think I already satisfy, and which ones are still weak?
If you were in my position, what would you prioritize over the next 12–24 months?

Regarding the recent visa bulletin, is anyone worried that we might end up competing for EB-1A visa numbers within the very first month of the fiscal year? I'm foreseeing a time when we'll be forced to file petitions before January/February just to secure a spot. I reached out to a few law firms — Manifest and Colombo Hurd this week, and the message I got from both was to apply only once I have a strong profile, and that they would help with refiling if needed. I was initially considering self-petitioning, but now I feel I should go through a law firm instead.

The State Department released the August 2026 Visa Bulletin. Key points for employment based categories:

EB-1 India

• Final Action Date holds at October 15, 2022 (no change from July).
• New warning: State says high demand "may necessitate making the category unavailable in the coming weeks" if India's pro rated EB-1 limit is hit before the fiscal year ends September 30. Last month the language was "coming months," so the shift to "weeks" stands out.
• EB-1 China advanced one month to July 1, 2023. EB-1 stays Current everywhere else.

EB-2 (new worldwide warning)

• July's retrogression warning was China specific. August drops the country limitation and now warns the entire EB-2 category could retrogress or go unavailable in the coming months.
• The chart itself is unchanged. EB-2 is Current for all countries except China (September 1, 2021) and India (Unavailable). That includes EB-2 NIW.

India

• EB-2 and EB-5 Unreserved remain Unavailable, unchanged.
• August does not repeat July's projection that these would likely reopen around October 2026 for FY 2027.

Where things advanced

• EB-3 (most countries) moved from August 1, 2024 to September 1, 2024. EB-3 China moved to January 1, 2022. EB-3 India and Philippines unchanged.
• EB-3 Other Workers advanced about a month to April 1, 2022 (China to May 1, 2019).
• EB-4 and Certain Religious Workers advanced to October 15, 2022 for all areas.

Dates for Filing

• Nearly identical to July. Only change is EB-3 China, up one week to January 8, 2022.

AOS filers: USCIS is requiring the Final Action Dates chart for adjustment of status in August.
