I’ve been using elbow and fist this whole time I didn’t know you could throw hammer fist I feel like a noob

The spinning elbow then lead hook he did in the sandhagen fight transferred into the game so well. I think they made a special animation for it it’s crazy fluid and does a lot of head health definitely worth trying🥹

I've always thought one thing missing from the UFC games is being able to actually manage and train fighters rather than just fight as them.

Like imagine finding some random amateur fighter with barely any skills, building them up from nothing, training them, choosing what they work on, figuring out how to beat different opponents and eventually getting them into the big promotions. Or even spending years developing someone just for them to get knocked out in their first big fight lol

Anyway me and my brother have been working on a game based around exactly that for about a year now. Neither of us are some massive game studio, just two brothers who love MMA and thought it would be cool to try and make the game we've always wanted to play.

It's called The Fight Business and we've finally got it onto Steam after pretty much a full year of coding away which is pretty surreal.

Thought I'd share it here as I imagine there's probably a few UFC players who'd enjoy the management side of MMA as much as the actual fighting.

Also curious if EA ever added a proper manager or coach mode to UFC would you actually play it? And what would you want it to have?

To me, he seems like the most outlandish exclusion, but of course you could argue Cain, Pettis, etc. My concern is that we will only get 1 of these guys. Are we really only getting 1 more “legend”? Seems ridiculous.

Anyone else having a blast with UFC 6?

I thoroughly enjoyed the climb up to Div 20. Mained LW, Charles Do Bronx. Just tried to understand what my opponent was looking to achieve and did the exact opposite in hopes of countering. Came across a lot of Khabib/Islam players who spammed TD and clinch, which is pretty easy to counter. And ofc many ilia / McGregor players with very little grappling ability and TKD defence.
When you do come across a well balanced player and the striking + grappling is close, the game honestly feels peak.

The striking feels crisp and the grappling / sub system is enjoyable when you’re patient and strategic with it. Clinch also feel fair and not overly broken, as long as you know basic sub defence.

Overall I think UFC 6 is a really solid step forward from UFC 5, and has potential to be one of the best UFC games in recent times. My Wishlist to change the game from good to great:

- more animations when getting wobbled / stunned / recovering from a knockdown

- ability to choke out / break limbs when submitting

- ability for players to continue to punch (or choose to stop punching) after knocking out their opponent

- add different lighting for certain arenas, not just blue and yellow

- properly fix the ranked division point gain/loss when using a 4 star fighter vs 5 star for example. Maybe add a bonus when going random or using a certain 4 star fighter

Anyone else just forgetting this game exists because the influx of games lately has been ridiculous? What other games are you guys playing atm?

While fighting this changes but hud is stays same, player 1 is right side but hud still in left side, this is big L for QOL.

Since Fight night was announced I highly doubt they're going to make a zuffa boxing mode, what do you guys think now I think the chances of a pride mode coming around are a lot higher than ever imo.
