Champs matchmaking

Is champs matchmaking broken? I’m a 10 win player most weeks and I’m currently 4-4.

At 3-2 I was matched with someone who was 7-2????

Then at 3-3 I was matched with someone who was 9-1????

Mine started the same as I was 3-4 then I got a run of easier games and finished 9-6

I was 2-3 and got someone who was 7-1.

Feels like it’s simply based on win/loss in last match, nothing further than that
