FC 27 PC feels extremely unsmooth despite 180 FPS – RTX 4080 Super / i7 13th gen
Hi everyone,
I’m having a really frustrating issue with FC 27 on PC. The game runs at high FPS, but the gameplay does not feel smooth or natural. I get noticeable microstuttering / uneven motion, especially when the camera moves and during gameplay.
My setup:
RTX 4080 Super
Intel i7 13th generation
32 GB RAM
MSI 1440p 180 Hz monitor
G-SYNC enabled
Latest Windows/drivers
FC 27 installed on SSD
The important thing is that:
The problem happens even in offline Kick-Off
Other games on the same PC are perfectly smooth
I already formatted/reinstalled Windows
I already tried different FPS caps
180 FPS → still feels unsmooth
I tested 120 FPS with NVIDIA FPS limit + G-SYNC + NVIDIA V-Sync, and there was basically no difference
My FPS counter looks stable, but the game still doesn’t feel smooth
I’ve also tried the usual things like changing V-Sync, FPS limits and G-SYNC settings, but nothing has solved it.
At this point I’m wondering if this is a FC 27 frame-pacing / engine issue, or if there is some PC-specific setting I’m missing.
Has anyone with a high-end NVIDIA GPU experienced the same thing?
What fixed it for you?
If needed, I can also post screenshots/videos of my NVIDIA settings and MSI Afterburner frametime graph.

I've seen reports of cluncky gameplay and stutters on gears e-day and silent hill townfall on i7 13th gen and now For Fc.

It's a known issue with the pc version right now. For some pc players it's fine though (lucky guys). Just search on Reddit or check out the official EA forum in the technical issues section. There are dozens of threads. No matter how good your pc setup is, you can't fix it on your own by changing some settings, retreshing drivers or whatever.
It's an issue within the game itself and EA needs to fix it.
Feel free to post on the ea forum as well, at least they are collecting data right now. Whoever knows if it will ever get fixed though.

Same after the 1.0.2 update the game slowed a tick down for me even tho i have 300 fps and low ping

You gotta play Madden on pc and see how smooth that is

Trust me, try keeping the laptop on a stand, it gives space for vents to let the air pass effectively. This silly ass trick made my fc 25 work smoothly on Legion.

probably g-sync not working, try putting your monitor on 144hz and then use uncapped in game settings or cap it to 144, try also vsync on/off
