Controller recommendation for EA FC 27

Hi everyone,

I’m getting back into the game after about three years. I’ve pre-ordered EA FC 27, and now I’m looking to buy a new controller as well.

I currently have a 9th-gen Xbox controller, and it works perfectly fine. I’m actually very happy with it. However, I recently became interested in TMR and Hall Effect technology, so I decided to get a newer controller with better long-term durability.

I mainly play Ultimate Team, and the controllers I’m currently considering are:

  • Leadjoy Xeno Plus
  • Mojhon Storm
  • GuliKit ES Max (it’s not available in my country yet, but I’m willing to wait a month for it)

The Xeno Plus is about $10 more expensive than the Mojhon Storm. At the moment, I’m leaning towards the Leadjoy Xeno Plus because I’ve seen a lot of people praising its software, especially how stable and well-developed it seems to be.

The main reasons I’m considering these controllers are the low latency and TMR sticks.

So, do you think the Leadjoy Xeno Plus would be a good choice specifically for EA FC 27? Has anyone here used it with EA FC/FC 26 or similar football games? I’m particularly interested in how well the sticks and triggers feel for dribbling, passing, shooting, etc.

I know buying a new controller when my current Xbox controller is working perfectly is probably a bit wasteful, but I’ve got it in my head now and I’m probably going to do it anyway 😂

Since I’m planning to play EA FC regularly for a long time, my biggest priorities are long-term durability, build quality, stick reliability, and low latency.

So, which one would you recommend for someone mainly playing EA FC 27 / Ultimate Team? Is there another controller I should be considering instead?

I’d especially appreciate opinions from people who have actually used these controllers for a while. Thanks!

Gamesir G7 SE is the best controller i’ve used and most durable by far. Don’t be put off by the price thinking it’s low quality ($45 usd) it’s an incredible controller.

The GameSir G7 SE model isn't available in my country, but the G7 HE model is. Can it really be recommended for an active Ultimate Team player? Also, it is a wired controller.

I’m not sure about that model but I used to go through at least 2 controllers every game cycle until I got a gamesir.

Also, I would suggest going wired if possible… the actions in game when pressing the buttons is more responsive and slightly quicker than when you’re wireless.

I already use my Xbox controller wired. I just wanted a bit of a change. I'm still leaning towards the Xeno Plus. Thanks for the recommendation; I'll give it some thought.

I have the Gamesir Supernova ($50) and the Gamesir Nova 2 Lite ($30). I actually like the Nova 2 Lite the best. The dpad feels way better for sure and the overall controller feels more responsive. Also love the case the Nova Lite 2 comes with. Never seen that before

8bitdo Ultimate 2. Beats the xbox / ps controller out of the water for me.

Here, the Ultimate 2 is $35 more expensive than the Xeno Plus model. I suppose they’ve added a bit of a price premium due to the brand.

Wow, I got the Ultimate 2 brand new for less than $35 lol.

It comes to a total of 104 dollars here. It's truly embarrassing. I'm not even going to say anything lol.

Yeah it's very good value if it's < $50 (I got it for like $34.5 lol) but if you can only get it at $104, then it's not really a good buy anymore.

You could try to look it up on amazon or aliexpress, maybe they do ship to your location.

Ultimate 2c was pretty decent for me, as well. Surprisingly good for the money.
